5. "Teens should be given the freedom to spend more time with their friends after school." Do you agree with this statement?
Section Two (30 marks)
You are advised to write between 250 and 350 words for this section. You should read the information carefully and plan your answer before beginning to write.
Recently, your school organised a heritage festival to celebrate Racial Harmony Day. There were booths to allow pupils to learn more about each other's culture.
However, feedback from the student population indicated that
- the food sold at the booths were not typical traditional food. Titbits and ice-cream were sold.
- many were not able to enjoy or see the exhibits in some booths due to overcrowding.
- some of the activities had been carried out before.
- some booths did not have enough information about the customs and traditions of the other races.
Write a report to the Principal, giving details of your plans for the celebrations next year. Your report should take into account the feedback that you received above and include the following:
- Say exactly how you plan to make next year's Racial Harmony Day activities fun and exciting for the pupils.
- Explain clearly where the activities will be carried out. Explain your reasons.
- Give details of how the celebration will be organised to avoid this year's complaints.
